Crocs is putting its Gallery shoe in a nicer outfit. The Crocs Gallery Leather Shoe takes last year's suede, loafer-shaped Gallery and gives it a genuine leather upper, a proper lace-up front and metal hiking-style eyelets stamped with the Crocs logo. The first color is Black/Black (style 215005), and it lands on Crocs.com on Thursday, October 22 at 11:00 AM ET for $109.99. The product page is already up with sizes marked coming soon.
Under the dressy part it's still very much a Crocs. You get a Croslite foam midsole, the sink-in LiteRide footbed and a chunky rubber outsole with deep lugs. Crocs calls it "an elevated take on casual capability," which is a fancy way of saying it's a moc-toe you can wear to dinner that will also survive the parking lot.

Our take: the Wallabee comparisons write themselves, and honestly that's the point. Dress-sneaker hybrids haven't gone anywhere, and the leather is what this shoe was missing. Suede looked cozy, but leather makes it look like it has a job. The silver eyelets are the detail that sells it. They add a little trail energy so the whole thing doesn't tip into "substitute teacher on picture day." All black, tonal sole, $110. That's an easy fall shoe for anyone who wants Crocs comfort without explaining Crocs at the office.
