Update, October 15: Tomorrow's the day in Atlanta. The Nike Air DT Proto 92 "Prime Red" (JF7592-600) is still listed as in-store only at Walter's Clothing for $180, men's sizing, per Sole Retriever. No wider SNKRS window has been confirmed yet — if you're not in ATL Friday, this one may stay a Walter's exclusive for now.
Deion Sanders' red patent Nike is finally getting a release date, and it's in his old NFL city. Per Sole Retriever, citing Atlanta's ATATF, the Nike Air DT Proto 92 "Prime Red" (JF7592-600) releases Friday, October 16, in-store only at Walter's Clothing in Atlanta, in men's sizing for $180.
Coach Prime showed it off himself back in May, holding a pair up for the camera with the look of a man who already knew how loud it was. The colorway is "Prime Red/Sail-Metallic Gold-Desert Maroon," and it's red almost everywhere: patent leather and neoprene up top, a red midsole and outsole underneath. Gold ballistic mesh peeks through the midfoot overlay, a Nike lockdown strap sits over a white leather Swoosh, and the heel gets gold Nike Air embroidery with Prime 12 branding on the pull tab. It comes with a Prime hangtag and a spare set of white laces.

The shoe has a fun backstory. The Air DT Proto 92 is based on a 1992 prototype that never released while Sanders was playing. Nike brought it out for the first time last year in two 49ers-friendly colorways. Taking this one to Atlanta makes sense: Sanders played his first five NFL seasons with the Falcons, and Walter's has been an Atlanta sneaker institution for decades.
Our take: all-red patent is a lot of shoe, but Deion has never done subtle. The gold mesh and hangtag keep it from looking like a candy apple. If you're not in Atlanta Friday, keep an eye out. Earlier reports pointed to a wider release later this year, but Nike hasn't confirmed one.
The details: Nike Air DT Proto 92 "Prime Red/Sail-Metallic Gold-Desert Maroon" (JF7592-600), $180, releases October 16, 2026, in-store at Walter's Clothing in Atlanta, per Sole Retriever. Browse Nike at ONENESS.
