MCM, adidas and FC Bayern Women Team Up on a Cognac Visetos Capsule, Out October 22

Three Bavarian institutions walk into a minka. MCM, adidas and the FC Bayern Women's team have put together a joint capsule, and WWD broke the news this morning: it drops Thursday, October 22. MCM is calling it a "natural convergence of three defining pillars of German culture." That's a big line for a tracksuit, but if you're going to make an all-German trifecta, a Three Stripes track jacket covered in Cognac Visetos monogram is how you do it.

The lineup covers an adidas tracksuit with MCM branding, unisex and women's jerseys, track tops, track pants and shorts, plus footwear and leather goods. The bags are the ones to watch. MCM's Ottomar weekender and Stark backpack come in the house Cognac Visetos with the FC Bayern crest and cream leather trim, so you finally have something to carry your boots in that costs more than the boots.

There's a real backstory here too. Over the summer MCM became the official travel luggage sponsor for FC Bayern Women, and the team's Tokyo stop doubled as the campaign shoot, in and around a traditional Japanese house. That explains the photos: tatami, timber and a whole lot of brown-and-white monogram looking very at home. MCM's global chief brand officer Dirk Schönberger spent eight years as adidas' creative director before going back to MCM in 2025, which goes a long way toward explaining why the stripes and the monogram actually sit together instead of fighting.

Per WWD, a VIP launch event happens in Munich on Tuesday, and the collection lands two days later at FC Bayern World in Munich, adidas stores across Europe, Japan and Korea, MCM stores worldwide, and the FC Bayern, adidas and MCM online shops. Pricing hasn't been announced. It also lands in MCM's 50th anniversary year, following the brand's Urwahn e-bike and its Euro 2024 soccer capsule with Jonathan Tah.

Our take: Football-and-fashion collabs usually mean a crest slapped on a hoodie and a press release. This one went further, with a women's team, a luggage deal that actually exists and a former adidas creative director steering the brand. It's the best case yet for the luxury track jacket, and the Ottomar weekender is the piece we'd grab first.
