Converse Japan just put a pointed toe and a whole wolf-coat of fur on the Chuck — and somehow it still reads as an All Star. The ALL STAR POINTEDTOE VOLUMEFUR SL OX (styles 31319190 / 31319191) is a laceless slip-on with that dressy tapered rubber toe, a shaggy faux-fur upper, and the classic heel patch peeking through the fluff. Per Fullress and today's write-up from Highsnobiety, it lands in Japan on October 16 for ¥11,000 (about $70) in black and Wolf Brown.
This is the Japan imprint doing what it does best: taking the Chuck template and dressing it like it has somewhere to be. Pointed toe, slip-on convenience, volume-fur collar that looks like it escaped a winter coat — equal parts lounge and street. The brown colorway especially leans into that mottled "wolf" pile Fullress calls out; the black pair keeps it nocturnal.
